16.Remove the lower gear screw. Note the beveled
washer orientation.
17.Loosen the chain adjuster jam nut and bolt.
18.Remove the spacer on the jackshaft.
19.Remove the upper sprocket, chain, and lower
sprocket as an assembly.
20.Inspect the sprockets for wear and replace as
required. Inspect the chain for frozen links and
damage. Replace as required.
21.Clean the inside of the chaincase housing.
