4. Reconnect the lower steering post to the steering tie
rod and fixed rack link using a new flange nuts.
Torque flange nuts to specification.
TORQUE
Tie Rod Nut:
37 ft-lbs (50 Nm)
Fixed Rack Link Fastener:
20 ft-lbs (27 Nm)
5. Install the flange nut securing the lower steering post
to the upper steering tie rod. Discard the flange nut.
UPPER STEERING POST INSTALLATION
1. Install the steering post back into the vehicle.
2. Apply a light film of Polaris Premium Grease to the
bushings
w
.
NOTICE
Install the bushings with the split seal recess facing
upwards.
3. Assemble the spacers, bushings, strap and new
flange nuts to the over structure mount. Torque flange
nuts to specification.
TORQUE
Upper Steering Post Mount Fasteners:
18 ft-lbs (25 Nm)
