Control Panel
Figure 5-18 shows the control panel of the Noise IIw power subVi, which may be run as a
stand-alone test. When run as a stand-alone test, the program will ask for the location of
the test constants file, so that the same limits can be used in the stand-alone as in the
standard test.
In addition to performing the same basic test, it provides options of showing the plots of the
data as seen in Figure 5-18, and an option to bypass the fourier analysis portion of the
test. Hidden controls allow the user to adjust AOI and certain calibration parameters.

Uniformity II Test
The Uniformity II test looks at the uncalibrated response of the CCD under light and dark
illumination to test the quality of the sensor and opto-mechanical system. It differs from the
Dark Noise II test in that it looks at light response as well as dark, and that all the data has
not been corrected for uniformity.
No target is needed for the test
, as the test is based on
the slide scanner’s uniformity correction factors. These correction factors are derived from
scans of the open calibration window and the black calibration portion of the film transport
carriage.
Both the light and dark uniformity test are based on the uniformity correction factors derived in
normal calibration. The correction factors are used to re-construct profiles of the dark and light
