Slide Scanner Repair Manual Parts Replacement
Transporter Stepper Motor
1. Remove the top housing.
2. Remove the main controller PC board.
3. If applicable, remove the two (2) screws that secures the light tunnel to the chassis mount
and then lift off the light tunnel.
4. Remove the chassis assembly.
5. Remove the two (2) screws securing the nut guide to the chassis mount (Figure 4-14) and then
lift off the nut guide.
WARNING
DO NOT REMOVE THE TWO STOPS ON THE BALL SLIDE.
5. Remove the three (3) screws securing the transporter stepper motor to the chassis .
6. Gently pull down the transporter stepper motor and then lift it out. Replace it with a new one.
7. Install a new nut onto the replacement transporter stepper motor lead screw.
Note: Always replace the lead screw nut when replacing the stepper motor.
8. Re-install the transporter stepper motor.
9. Re-install the nut guide.
10.Re-install the chassis assembly.
11.If applicable, re-install the light tunnel.
12.Re-install the main controller PC board.
13.Re-install the top housing.
14. Run LabVIEW Motion test to make sure slide scanner is OK.
