64 OmniSeed™ Viper Pro™ Installation & Operation Manual
Mapping Liquid Sections for Switch Box Controls
Note: It is recommended to create a diagram for the specific implement section configuration and refer to
this diagram while mapping sections.
Mapping sections on the OmniSeed system is a two part process. Complete the following
procedures for the granular product sections and any liquid shut-off sections as necessary before
proceeding to the Section Selection section on page 68.
Mapping liquid sections to section switches is completed in a similar fashion to the granular sections. However,
since the OmniSeed system is capable of controlling multiple liquid sections per product, there are a few
additional requirements to keep in mind while mapping liquid sections in the OmniSeed system.
Liquid sections must be mapped in order by product node or control channel.
Liquid sections must be mapped from left to right along the implement width.
Sections with midpoints to the left of the implement midpoint will be mapped above the full width sections on
the Mapping Sections to Wiring screen; sections with midpoints to the right will be mapped below full width
sections.
Liquid sections with midpoints overlapping granular sections (e.g. full width liquid sections or liquid sections
with midpoints at the center of the implement) may be mapped above or below the full width sections,
however, it is recommended to program the granular sections as soon as possible in the section order to
help identify these sections.
‘Wired As’ values must be sequential. The highest ‘Wired As’ value should match the number of available
sections on the Mapping Sections to Wiring screen when the mapping of liquid sections is complete.
Mapping any liquid sections is generally easier once the granular sections have been mapped.
Mapping liquid sections, especially for multiple liquid products, is also made easier if a self made diagram of
the specific implement is available for reference while entering the section mapping values.
Note: If a diagram is not available, it may be necessary to touch the Prev button and review the section
programming to verify that sections are mapped correctly.
Due to the section programming requirements with the OmniSeed system, any liquid product
sections will be mapped to sections before and after the granular product section(s) mapped in the
previous procedure. Review the Mapping Granular Sections for Switch Box Controls section on
page 61 for details on mapping granular products to section switches.
1. Before mapping liquid control sections, verify that the granular sections have been mapped correctly on the
Mapping Sections to Wiring screen. The first liquid section should be the section with the midpoint furthest
to the left on the implement width.
For sections with overlapping midpoints, it is recommended to map sections in the order of products
controlled by the OmniSeed system.
2. Using the on-screen keypad, enter the next available ‘Wired As’ value for the first liquid product section.
