Manual No. 016-3001-015 Rev. C 65
Initial Set Up and Navigation
For Example:
The following mapping was completed for granular sections in the previous section (review the Mapping
Granular Sections for Switch Box Controls section on page 61 for information on mapping granular product
sections).
The granular product sections currently occupy ‘Wired As’ values 1, 2 and 3. Therefore, the first liquid
section must be mapped to ‘Wired As’ 4.
3. Map the next liquid section according to the same liquid product or control channel.
Note: If multiple liquid products will be controlled with the OmniSeed system, the next ‘Wired As’ section
may not be the next Viper Section.
4. Continue mapping ‘Wired As’ values for sections associated with the first liquid product. It may be
necessary to touch the Next or Prev buttons to view all section mapping values for the first liquid product.
5. After completing the ‘Wired As’ values for the first liquid product, repeat the process to enter the ‘Wired As’
values for the next liquid product beginning with the section furthest to the left on the implement.
For Example:
Recall that the implement from previous examples is configured for two liquid products with five control
sections each. Also recall the following requirements:
Sections must be configured from left to right on the Viper Pro field computer.
‘Wired As’ values should go in order of product control channels.
Therefore, the Viper Section 2 displayed on the Map Sections to Wiring screen is actually wired to the
second liquid product and the next ‘Wired As’ section is actually Viper Section 3.
For this example, the ‘Wired As’ values for liquid product 1 should be entered as shown above. The
remaining Viper Sections are therefore wired to product 2 and ‘Wired As’ values will resume from left to
right for this control channel.
