4. Bottom plate pressure spring is weak.
5. Drive gears damaged.
6. Sensor damage (trailing edge sensor).
7. Harness disconnected, damaged.
8. Control board malfunction.
9. DC relay board abnormal.
1 Clean the paper feed roller (ST).

4. Replace bottom plate pressure

Duplex jam has occurred.
When the paper was feed to the duplex unit
during duplex printing, it did not arrive at the
trailing edge sensor.
Ask the operator to try
the following procedures to
remove and prevent paper transport jams during
duplex printing. Also, check inside the duplex unit
or printer for paper. If you find paper inside the
duplex unit or printer, remove it, and then press
the [Paper Feed] key.
1. Paper that does not meet specifications was
used.
2. The reverse guide plate is closed.
3. Damage.
1. Use only paper that meets specifications
(including restrictions).
2. Close the reverse guide (lock on both ends). 3. Repair (ST) or replace (NRC).
(1) Check the type and condition of the paper,
then do the following procedures.
Insufficient power in the duplex unit to feed paper. Use only paper that meets specifications
(including restrictions).
1-1 If the paper is thick (105 g/m
2
or more), feed
the paper from the bypass tray for one-sided
printing.
The transport roller in the duplex unit is slipping. Switch to manual feed with the bypass tray for
one-sided printing.
