Maintenance menu
To prevent overflow of the liquid waste tank, it is recommended to install an
overflow sensor.
Clean the external parts of the analyzer
Use a cloth dampened with water or with a liquid cleaning agent to clean the
rack input line, the rack trays, and the outer surface of the analyzer. Apply a
disinfectant if necessary.
For cleaning the touch screen, switch off the analyzer. Wipe the touch screen
with a dry cloth.
If contamination is heavy, clean with a cloth moistened with a neutral
detergent.
Air purge
The air purge function is used to remove air bubbles from the syringes, flow
cell, internal tubing, and sample needle. During first time installation, this
function is used to fill the water supply tube and the liquid handling system
with deionized water.
In addition, use the air purge function after refilling the water supply tank and
if air bubbles are present in the syringes.
a To remove air bubbles
1 Set the analyzer to Stand-By mode.
2 Press <Menu> on the [Routine Monitor] screen. The [Menu] screen is
displayed.
3 Press <Maintenance>. The [Maintenance] screen is displayed.
4 Press <Air purge>. The analyzer performs several rinsing cycles.
5 Press <Execute>.

Do not use volatile solvents such as benzene. Do not scratch the surface of the
touch screen.
