Process STAT (emergency) samples
After interruption or completion of routine sampling
This procedure is performed when the analyzer is in Sampling Stop status.
a To process a STAT sample in Sampling Stop status
1 Follow steps 1-6 of:
2 Press <Start> on the [Routine Monitor] screen. The status of the analyzer
changes to Operation.
3 The STAT sample is pipetted and measured. Then the status of the analyzer
returns to Sampling Stop.
Start from Stand-By status
This procedure is performed when the analyzer is in Stand-By status and a
STAT sample arrives for measurement. In this case, the analyzer must first be
set to Operation status.
a To process a STAT sample in Stand-By status
1 Place the STAT sample in position 1 of a sample rack.
2 Place the rack in the STAT position on the analyzer with position 1 facing
the rear of the analyzer.
3 Press <Start> on the [Routine Monitor] screen. Reset occurs automatically
and the status of the analyzer changes to Operation.
4 Press <STAT>. The [STAT] screen is displayed.
5 Enter a STAT ID for the sample (if available) using alphanumerical
characters.
6 Press <Enter> to confirm the entry.
7 Press <OK> while the analyzer is still in Operation status.
8 Wait until the STAT sample is pipetted and measured. The status of the
analyzer changes to Sampling Stop.
To insert a STAT sample during routine sampling on page C-15
If <OK> is pressed during the rack end status, the sample will not be
measured. Wait until the analyzer changes to Sampling Stop, then proceed
as described in To process a STAT sample in Sampling Stop status on page
C-16.
