Handle alarms
Switch the alarm buzzer on and off
When an alarm is generated, the <Alarm> button that is displayed on the
screen flashes and, if the alarm buzzer is on, an audible alarm is heard. These
alarms should be cleared after taking the countermeasures before restarting
the instrument. The countermeasures are outlined in:
When the <Alarm> button is pressed, an [Alarm Monitor] window appears
that provides details of the alarm level, alarm category, and countermeasures.
The [Alarm Monitor] screen is also used to:
o Switch the buzzer on and off.
o Display the name of the alarm.
o Clear alarms.
a To switch the alarm buzzer on and off
1 Press <Alarm> on the current screen. The [Alarm Monitor] window
appears.
2 Check the alarm name and code that are indicated.
3 Press <Buzzer ON> to silence the alarm and to change the name of the
button to <Buzzer OFF>.
4 Press <Buzzer OFF> to reset the buzzer to <Buzzer ON> for the next
alarm.
5 Check the message on the screen, and take the appropriate
countermeasures.
6 Press <Clear Alarm>, when the alarm has been resolved.
7 Press <Close> to close the window.
8 Print an alarm log, if required.
