Recording a song / pattern

Realtime recording
1.
Access the SONG screen (Screen Guide; p. 8) or the PATTERN screen (Screen Guide; p. 91).
2.
Use CURSOR [ ] [ ] to select the audio track you want to record.
3.
press [REC ( )].
The RECORDING PARAMETER (AUDIO) popup (Screen Guide; p. 19) will appear.
4. Set the Rec Mode to Event.
If desired, you can also change the Pattern Length or Input Quantize.
5.
Press [PLAY ( )] to start recording, and perform by pressing the pads.
Step recording
1.
Access the SONG screen (Screen Guide; p. 8) or the PATTERN screen (Screen Guide; p. 91).
2.
Use CURSOR [ ] [ ] to select the audio track you want to record.
3.
Press [SHIFT] + [REC ( )].
The AUDIO PHRASE STEP REC screen (Screen Guide; p. 63) will appear.
The procedure for step recording is the same as for a “Step recording” (p. 156) in MIDI track.
Recording performance of audio phrases
● You can show the RECORDING PARAMETER popup when press [JUMP]+[REC ( )].
