About V-LINK
What is V-LINK?
V-LINK ( ) is a function that allows music and images to be performed together. By using MIDI to
connect two or more V-LINK compatible devices, you can easily enjoy performing a wide range of visual
effects that are linked to the expressive elements of a music performance.
For example...

Use the MV-8800 to remotely make performance settings on the Edirol PR-50 and MD-P1.
Use the MV-8800’s sequencer to create synchronized music and video performances.
Use the MV-8800’s pads to switch images (clips/palettes).
Use the MV-8800’s sliders to control the brightness or color of the images.
When the MV-8800 is used together with the Roland Fantom-X
You can use the Roland Fantom-X’s sequencer to enjoy synchronized performance of music and
images.
You can switch the MV-8800’s images (Pix Jam) from the Roland Fantom-X.
The MV-8800 supports two types of V-LINK functionality: “V-LINK master functionality,” in which the MV-8800
controls an external V-LINK device, and “V-LINK slave” functionality, in which an external V-LINK device
controls the MV-8800.
In order to use the MV-8800 with the Edirol PR-50 via V-LINK, you will need an Edirol UM-1EX (sold separately)
for connections.
If you use the MV-8800 with the Edirol MD-P1, you can control section A of MD-P1.
