1.
Press [EFFECTS].
2.
Use CURSOR [ ] [ ] to select MFX.
3.
Press [F3](Library).
The MFX LIBRARY popup (Screen Guide; p. 230) will appear.
4.
Select “P025 (Analog Modeling Bass)” and press [F5](Use This).
5.
Press [F5](Edit).
The MFX EDIT screen (Screen Guide; p. 231) will appear.

Press [F1](Block
) / [F2](Block
) to select VCA.
7.
Set the Initial Gain (Appendices; p. 58) to 0.
8.
Select a MIDI track in the SONG screen or PATTERN screen.
9.
Press [F2](Track Param).
The TRACK PARAMETER popup (for a MIDI track) (Screen Guide; p. 11) will appear.
10.
Set Output Assign to “MFX.”
The Analog Modeling Bass will produce sound when you strike a pad or play a connected external MIDI
keyboard.
The Analog Modeling Bass uses the following MIDI messages.
Note On
Note Off
Modulation (CC#01)
Pitch Bend
General Purpose Controller 1–8 (CC#16–18)
Playing from a MIDI track/the velocity pads/an external MIDI device
The velocity of the note-on message (the speed at which you play a key) will affect the sound as specified by
the VCF and VCA velocity sensitivity settings (Appendices; p. 58, p. 59).
