Creating a patch
1.
Access the PATCH EDIT screen as described in “Making a patch settings” (p. 95).
2.
Press [MENU].
The MENU popup will appear.
3.
Select “Patch Name” and press [F5](Select).
The EDIT PATCH NAME popup (Screen Guide; p. 3) will appear.
4.
Move the cursor to a character and use the VALUE dial or the numeric keys to input the
desired character.
5.
When you’ve finished entering the name, press the [F5](OK).
The name will be assigned to the patch.
If you’ve edited a patch and want to use it in a different song, you must register the patch in the patch library.
1.
Press [INSTRUMENTS].
The INSTRUMENTS screen (Screen Guide; p. 114) will appear.
2.
Use CURSOR [ ] [ ] to select the part that uses the patch you want to register.
The selected part number (the current part) is highlighted.
3.
Press [F4](Library).
The PATCH LIBRARY popup (Screen Guide; p. 117) will appear.
4.
Select the patch library number in which you want to register the patch, and press
[F1](Write Here).
The WRITE PATCH LIBRARY popup will appear.
Naming a patch
When the cursor is located at the first character of the name, you can press the CURSOR [ ] to open the
SELECT CATEGORY popup.
Registration a patch in the patch library
Since the patch library is saved on an individual project basis, you can’t use this data in a different project. If
you want to use the patch in a different project, save the patch to disk. For details, refer to “Saving a patch to
the hard disk” (p. 99).
F-button
Explanation
[F1](No)
The WRITE PATCH LIBRARY popup will close without registration of the patch.
[F2](Yes) The current patch will be registered in the library number you specified. The WRITE PATCH
LIBRARY popup will close.
