Note
Do not wrench on neck of transmitter. See warning in “Inline process connection” on
page 37.
6. Do not scratch, puncture, or depress the isolating diaphragms.
7. Clean isolating diaphragms with a soft rag and a mild cleaning solution, and rinse with
clear water.
6.4.2 Removing terminal block
Electrical connections are located on the terminal block in the compartment labeled “FIELD
TERMINALS.
1. Remove the housing cover from the field terminal side.
2. Loosen the two small screws located on the assembly in the 9 and 5 o’clock positions
relative to the top of the transmitter.
3. Pull the entire terminal block out to remove it.
6.4.3 Removing the LOI or LCD display
Rosemount 2088 with M4 or M5 option codes have and LOI or LCD display. The transmitter
LOI/LCD display are located in the compartment opposite the terminal side. To remove
and/or replace the LOI/LCD display, perform the following procedures:
1. Remove the housing cover opposite the field terminal side.
2. Loosen the two captive screws that are visible (See Figure 4-2 on page 43 for screw
locations). The two screws anchor the LOI/LCD display to the electronics board and the
electronics board to the housing.
3. After the screws are loosened, pull the LOI/LCD display off of the electronics board and
out of the housing. Make sure to pull directly backwards so to not bend or damage the
connection pins on the electronics board.
Note
Ensure not to attempt to pull out the electronics board from the housing as this could
permanently damage the transmitter
