9.1 GC-2014 Update Software Instruction Manual
1. Overview
The Flush ROM Update software is used to update the GC-2014. Be careful, as this is
completely different from the update method to date using "ktx".
With Flush ROM Update, you can select the connection COM port.
Confirm connection with the GC-2014 before proceeding with the update.
This update method is only for the GC-2014 Preparation Model for RoHS.
For non-RoHS systems, perform the update as per the conventional method. (Refer to
the previous Service Manual.)
2. Using Flush ROM Update
Download Flush ROM Update from the Quality Assurance Department website. After
downloading the software, double-click "Fupdate.exe".
Caution) Note that although "Fupdate.exe" is used with other models, the functions differ
depending on the model. Accordingly, be sure to use the version downloaded
from the Quality Assurance Department's GC web page.
3. Updating the GC-2014
3.1 Downloading the ROM File
Download the new version of the ROM file from the Quality Assurance Department
website.
The file is called "MAIN-GC2014-00000.rom".
(Here, "00000" denotes the current version.)
3.2 Starting Up the Update Software
Double-click "Fupdate.exe" to start up the update software.
After it starts up, a ROM file selection area will be displayed in the window. Select the
latest ROM File downloaded.
The transmission rate will be set automatically when the ROM file is selected.
Select the COM port to match the connection with the GC-2014.
