The message protocols are displayed in a message list in the form of a table.

are used only for the analysis of already
stored message protocols.
TIM message logging is activated as follows:

Description of the functions
The recording of the TIM messages is started with the
TIM Message Monitor
of the SINAUT
diagnostics and service tool. The messages received and sent by the routing server of the
TIM are recorded.
The
TIM message protocol
function is used only to open a TIM message protocol for
subsequent evaluation.
1. Open the TIM message protocol by selecting the
Project / TIM Message Protocol
menu.
The
Open
dialog is displayed.
2. In the file tree, select the directory and the
7DT
file of the required TIM message protocol
and confirm with the
Open
button. The TIM message protocol is opened in a separate
window.
Note
You activate and deactivate recording
of the TIM message protocol and specify the name
and storage location of the message protocol file using the
TIM Message Monitor
function
of the diagnostics and service tool.
Diagnostics of the TIM message protocol
Structure of the TIM message protocol
The upper part of the
TIM message protocol
dialog summarizes the following information:
- Total number of messages,
- Number of messages shown,
- Source and path of the protocol file
Below this, there is the list of TIM messages, that has nine columns as default and provides
the following information on every message:
- A symbol for incoming and outgoing messages
- Message number
