6.4 Moving and unpacking operations
SMIPACK S.p.A., depending on the mode of transportation and products to be
delivered, uses adequate packaging to guarantee integrity and preservation during
transportation.
The carrier is liable for damage sustained during transportation.
The unloading operartions of the vehicle of transport and the unpacking must be
performed by qualified personnel. Operators must wear personal protection devices
required by regulations in relation to the operations and have suitable equipment.
Before starting the operations make sure that over the entire motion area, including the parking
of transport vehicles and installation are not in a dangerous conditions.
Before every handling, always make sure that the lifting means, in relation to the
dimensions, shape and weight of the machine is suitable to lift the load to be handled.
The machine module must be handled from beneath. Due to the type of packaging, systems
that work from above cannot be used. Lift the machine in the middle from the longest side and
adjust the position of the lift forks at the greatest centred position possible.
The lifting is performed continuously, smoothly without suddenness. During handling, no
persons shall stand in the manoeuvring area.
Unpack the unit being careful to not damage the exposed parts.
The manufacturer do not assumes any responsability for damages caused by improper
operations, by unqualified personnel or the use of unsuitable means.
