8 - Preparing the machine for use

8.4.5 Adjusting the film return roll
Adjust the position of the film
return roll (P) to half the
height of the product to be
wrapped, or slightly lower, at
the very most. There are
specific millimetric lines
(Q2) to facilitate this
adjustment.
On the “CS” series, set the
height of the film return roll
(P) based on the reference
obtained on the millimetric
line (H
1
) after adjusting the
height of the top square.
When positioned check correct alignment of the two edges of the film, and correct the position
of the roll if necessary.
8.5 Positioning the film on the squares
After the film has been inserted into the unwinder, it must be positioned on the squares of the
machine.
Unwind a few metres of film in order to pass the lower edge below the lower square and the
upper edge over the upper square, as shown in the figure. The film must be folded back at a
90° angle. Fit these two triangles onto the squares of the machine.
8.6 Adjustment of film waste guide
The film waste guide (M) serves to align the film waste and keep the bag uniform.
Move the guide hook to a distance of 4-5 cm away from the bag, acting on the respective
