ZONE I: Opening doors
Residual risk:
- crushing hands in the operation of door closing.
- blow to the head to contact against the door when it is open.
Prescribed standards of conduct:
Be careful not to hit your head against the open mobile door during adjustments and
maintenance.
ZONE: FLOORING OF MACHINE INSTALLATION
Risks:
Slipping in trampling any residual film on the floor.
Prescribed standards of conduct:
Keep always clean the floor and remove immediately the residues of film that are produced in
the machine adjustment phases.
7.10 Individual protections
In this paragraph are described the main features that the individual protection devices must
have.
1 - WORKWEAR
The workwear of the operators must be of resistant material and must allow for perfect mobility
of the movements that the operator must carry out. This workwear must be perfectly adhering
to the body (elastic type) in particular around the ankles, the wrists, the neck and abdominal
area, in order to avoid that a loose part of the workwear comes into contact with moving parts,
thus causing serious dangers. Furthermore, the workwear must guarantee water-proofing of
the product.
2 - SHOES (FEET PROTECTION)
They must have antistress arch support soles for foot comfort, breathable and with the upper
part impenetrable to contact with the product to be used. They must cover the ankle
completely, overlapping with the trousers and must be of quick removing type to allow a fast
evacuation of the foot in case of accidental contact with the product.
3 - GLOVES (HANDS PROTECTION)
They must be suitable for the hand of the operator and must be of sufficient length to cover the
workwear elasticised at the wrist of the operator. They must guarantee a safe and quick grip
and a highly resistant to the product to be handled. They must also guarantee protection and
continuous comfort against the low and high temperatures and good sweat absorption.
4 - GLASSES (EYES PROTECTION)
They must be suitable for the operator having to work in environments where glass bottles are
handled. They must provide protection from broken glass caused by accidental breakage of
bottles.They must be adherents to the face and also closed by the sides to protect the eyes
integrally.
