05 COOLING SYSTEM
05.03.03 Exchange sacrificial anodes
The raw water circuit of the cooling system is equipped
with five sacrificial anodes. These anodes are to be
removed once a year and checked for galvanic
erosion. In case of a material loss of 50 %, the anode
needs to be exchanged (SW23) .
1 Anodes 1 and 2 (ill.2/pos.1-2) are on the intercooler.
2 Anodes 3 is in the high riser (elbow).
3 Anodes 4 and 5 (ill.2/pos.4-5) are on the heat
exchanger.
4 Illustration 1 shows a new anode.
NOTE: For operation with fresh water,
magnesium anode sticks are
recommended.
