The following objects can be inserted into reports:
plots,
statistics boxes,
compensation matrices,
fields (objects containing derived contents such as file names, file paths,
etc.),
images,
text boxes (boxes provided for entering free text),
lines.
Each report page consists of three separate sections: header, body and
footer. All elements of the header and footer sections are repeated on all
pages of the report.
If the source information for an inserted object is unavailable, a red
exclamation mark will be displayed on the report. If the source information of
the associated Playlist item is unknown, a blue question mark will be
displayed on the report. If a field has been inserted and the value is not
present in the file or if a file is not present, "ERROR" will be displayed
instead of the value.
Inserting objects into a report
In Playlist mode, objects from any item of the current Playlist can be inserted
into a report. In Worklist mode, objects from the current panel of the Worklist
can be inserted.
There are several possibilities to insert objects into a report:
From the Insert group of the Report tab of the Ribbon, click the desired
button to display a drop-down list and select the desired object.
To insert this object in a default size, click into the desired page section
(i.e. header, footer or body) of the report. The object is bounds checked
to the section and resized and/or repositioned as necessary.
To insert the object in a custom size, drag out an insertion rectangle to
the required size of the object and then release to insert the object at the
desired size. Starting a drag in a particular page section (i.e. header,
footer or body) restricts the insertion rectangle to the bounds of that
section.
An object can be inserted into a report if the cursor is displayed as a
crosshair when moved over a reports page. If an object cannot be
inserted, a "no entry" sign is displayed. The cursor remains a "no entry"
sign until the object is inserted in a valid location or the Esc key is
pressed.
Plots and statistics can also be inserted into a report by sending them
from the Plots area of the Workspace. For this purpose, select one or
more plots in the Plots area of the Workspace. Right-click to display a
