8.4. POSITIONING THE BRAKE WINDING

1. Loosen the 2 screws (a)
hexagonal.
2. Move the brake winding plate support (b),
horizontally as indicated by yellow arrows,
so that the copper disk is centred on the brake
winding, using a 1mm thickness gauge.
3. Lock down the screw (a) again.
CAUTION: To correct
ly adjust the
brake position, test the machine at
high levels and check that the flywheel
it is not touching on it.
WARNING: Use a flatness
comparator to check the copper disk
flatness, the permissible margin is
±
0.15mm.
