2. Apply lithium grease NLGI Grade 2 to the inside of
the spacer (3), and install the spacer (3) into the
roller segment (4).
3. Install a ball bearing (5) and grease seal (6) in the
other end of the roller segment (4).
4. Apply lithium grease NLGI Grade 2 to the lips of the
grease seals (1 and 5).

5. Apply a thin film of lithium grease NLGI Grade 2 to
the inside diameter of the short spacer (9), and install
the spacer on the roller shaft (8) with the bevel facing
away from the nut (7).
6. Install the roller segment assemblies (10, 12, and 14)
on the roller shaft (8), placing a long spacer (11 and
13) between each of the roller segments.
7. Apply a thin film of lithium grease NLGI Grade 2 to
the inside diameter of the short spacer (15) on the
roller shaft (8).
8. Install hex-jam, nylon-insert nut (16) on the roller
shaft (8).
Installation
See Figures 10-26 through 10-28.
1. Apply lithium grease NLGI Grade 2 to the height
adjustment channels on both sides of the mower.

2. Install adjusting nut (1)
3. Install adjuster bracket (3) using carriage bolt (2), flat
washer (6), lock washer (5), and nut (4).

4. Install adjusting nut (7).
5. Slide the roller assembly (9) and adjuster bracket (8)
toward the opposite side.
6. Pivot the adjuster bracket (8) up and install to
adjusting nut (7).
