Installation

1. Install the traction drum assembly (1) into the frame
assembly (2). Position the end with the two threaded
sections (3 and 4) toward the right side frame.
2. Install the right frame. (See “Right Frame” on
page 5-17.)

3. Install bearing (5) on the traction drum shaft (6).

4. Install inner set screw (8) into the planetary gear
assembly (7), until the end is flush with the bottom of
the threaded hole.

5. Install key (not shown) from the traction drum shaft
(13).
6. Install the planetary gear assembly (12) over the key.
7. Rotate the planetary gear assembly (12) until the
inner set screw (10) aligns with oil filler hole (9).
8. Tighten the inner set screw (10).
9. Install the outer set screw (11).
10. Install drive chains. (See “Drive Chains” on
page 5-9.)
