Installation
See Figures 7-11 and 7-12.
Figure 7-11
1. Install park brake band (6) on bracket (3).
2. Install wheel hub (1). (See “Wheel Hubs and
Bearings” on page 9-3.)
3. Install the lower brake band pin (8) into the brake
band (6).
4. Route the end of the brake cable (5) through the
bracket (3), upper brake band pin (4), and the lower
brake band pin (8).
5. Position the brake band so the upper brake band pin
(4) rests against the end of the cable sheath (2).

6. Move the free end of the brake band until the
distance between the center of the park brake band
pins (9) is approximately 1.50 in. (38 mm). Tighten
set screw (7).
7. Check brake adjustment. (See “Park Brake Check
and Adjustment” on page 7-4.)
