•ReviewandunderstandthecontentsoftheOperator’sManualsbefore
startingandoperatingthemachine.Becomefamiliarwiththecontrolsand
knowhowtostopthemachinequickly.AdditionalcopiesoftheOperator’s
Manualsareavailableatwww.toro.com.
•Keepalltheshields,safetydevices,anddecalsinplace.Ifashield,safety
device,ordecalisillegibleordamaged,repairorreplaceitbeforeoperating
themachine.
•Tightenanyloosenuts,bolts,orscrewstoensurethatthemachineisin
safeoperatingcondition.
•Donotcarrypassengersonthemachine.Keepeveryone,especiallychildren
andpets,awayfromtheareasofoperation.
•Alwayswearsubstantialshoes.Donotoperatemachinewhilewearing
sandals,tennisshoesorsneakers.Donotwearloosettingclothingwhich
couldgetcaughtinmovingpartsandcausepersonalinjury.
•Wearingsafetyglasses,safetyshoes,longpantsandahelmetisadvisable
andrequiredbysomelocalsafetyandinsuranceregulations.
•Makesureworkareaisclearofobjectswhichmightbepickedupandthrown
bytheattachments.
•Keepeveryone,especiallychildrenandpets,awayfromtheareasof
operation.
•Dieselfuelishighlyammable;handleitcarefully.
–Storefuelincontainersspecicallydesignedforstoringfuel.
–Donotremovethefueltankcapofthemachinewhiletheengineishot
orrunning.
–Donotsmokewhilehandlingfuel.
–Fillthefueltankoutdoorsandonlytothebottomofthellerneck.Donot
overllthefueltank.
–Afterrefuelingthemachine,installthefueltankandfuelcontainercaps.
–Ifyouspillfuel,donotattempttostarttheenginebutmovethemachine
awayfromthespill.Avoidcreatinganysourceofignitionuntilfuelvapors
havedissipated.Wipeupanyspilledfuel.
