Theseatswitchisnormallyopenandcloseswhentheoperatorisontheseat.If
thetractionsystemorPTOswitchisengagedwhentheoperatorraisesoutofthe
seat,theengineshutsoff.Theseatswitchanditselectricalconnectorarelocated
directlyundertheseat(Figure124).T estingoftheswitchcanbedonewithout
seatremovalbydisconnectingtheseatwirefromthemachinewireharness.
TheStandardControlModule(SCM)monitorstheoperationoftheseatswitch.
IfthekeyswitchisintheONpositionandtheseatisoccupied,theSCMin
seatinputLEDshouldbeilluminated.
Testing
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingdeck,settheparking
brake,andshutofftheengine.
2.Beforeyoudisconnecttheseatswitchfortesting,ensurethatyoutestthe
switchanditscircuitwiringasaSCMinput;refertoStandardControlModule
(SCM)(page6–45).
3.IftheSCMveriesthattheseatswitchandcircuitwiringarefunctioning
correctly,nofurtherswitchtestingisnecessary.
4.IftheSCMdeterminesthattheseatswitchandcircuitwiringarenot
functioningcorrectly,proceedwiththefollowingswitchtestingprocedure.
