ControllerOperation
1.WhenthekeyswitchisturnedtotheRUNposition,thecontrollerenergizes
theglowplugsandlightsuptheglowlampforapproximately6seconds.
2.WhenthekeyswitchisheldintheSTARTposition,theglowplugswill
energizewhiletheswitchisheldinSTARTandtheglowlampwillnotlight.
3.WhenthekeyswitchisreleasedfromSTARTtoRUN,theglowplugswill
de-energizeandtheglowlampwillremainoff.
ControllerChecks
1.Ensurethatthereispowerfromthebattery.
2.Disconnecttheelectricalconnectortothefuelstopsolenoidtopreventthe
enginefromstarting.
3.TurnthekeyswitchtotheRUNposition.Checkthefollowingwhileinthe
RUNposition:
A.Glowindicatorlampison.
B.Glowrelayisenergized.
C.Glowplugsareenergized.
D.Glowindicatorlampgoesoutandglowplugsde-energizeafter
approximately6seconds.
4.TurnthekeyswitchtotheSTARTposition.Checkthefollowingwhilein
theSTARTposition:
A.Glowindicatorlampisout.
B.Glowrelayisenergized.
C.Glowplugsareenergized.
D.Powerexistsatterminal1oftheglowcontroller.
Note:Ifthereisnopowertoterminal1oftheglowcontroller,checkthe
continuityofthecircuitryfromthekeyswitchtotheglowcontrollerand
performstep4again;refertotheElectricalSchematicsinAppendixA(page
