determinecuttingunitcircuitperformance.ThistestcomparesuidowatNo
LoadwithuidowUnderLoad.Adropinowunderloadofmorethan15%
indicatesthegearsandwearplatesinthepumphaveworn.Awornpumpwill
by−passhydraulicuidandmakethepumplessefcient.Eventually,enough
uidlosswilloccurtocausethecuttingunitmotorstostallunderheavycutting
conditions.Continuedoperationwithaworn,inefcientpumpcangenerate
excessiveheatandcausedamagetothesealsandothercomponentsinthe
hydraulicsystem.
