IMPORTANT
Flushhydraulicsystemwhenchangingfrompetroleumbase
hydraulicuidtoabiodegradableuidsuchasToroBiodegradable
HydraulicFluid.Operatemachineundernormaloperatingconditions
foratleastfour(4)hoursbeforedraining.
IMPORTANT
Ifacomponentfailureoccurredinthetractioncircuit,referto
TractionCircuit(ClosedLoop)ComponentFailure(page5–3)for
informationregardingtheimportanceofremovingcontamination
fromthetractioncircuit.
1.Parkmachineonalevelsurface.Lowercuttingunits,disengagePTOswitch.
stopengine,andengageparkingbrake.Removekeyfromthekeyswitch.
WARNING
Beforedisconnectingorperforminganyworkonthehydraulic
system,allpressureinthesystemmustberelieved.SeeRelieving
HydraulicSystemPressure(page5–3).
IMPORTANT
Makesuretocleanaroundanyhydraulicconnectionsthatwillbe
disassembled.
2.Drainhydraulictank.
3.Drainhydraulicsystem.Drainallhoses,tubes,andcomponentswhilethe
systemiswarm.
4.Changeandreplacehydraulicuidlter.
5.Inspectandcleanhydraulicuidtank(seeHydraulicTankInspection(page
5–72)).

Followalllocalcodesandregulationswhenrecyclingordisposing
hydraulicuidandlters.
