radialreeldesignshavebladesthatareplacedinlinewiththecenterofthereel
shaft.Therearofthebladeseitherhaveascallopedrelieforataperedrelief.
Theforwardsweptreelhavebladesthathaveaslightforwardslant.Therear
oftheforwardsweptreelbladeshaveataperedrelief.Beforegrindingareel,
identifythetypeofreeldesigntomakesurethatgrindingiscorrectlydone.
Beforegrindingacuttingreel,makesurethatallcuttingunitcomponents
areingoodcondition.Dependingontypeofgrinderused,faultycuttingunit
componentscanaffectgrindingresults.Whengrinding,becarefultonot
overheatthecuttingreelblades.Removesmallamountsofmaterialwitheach
passofthegrinder.
