Theswitchusedforthemow/transportslideisanormallyclosedswitch.The
switchopenswhenthemow/transportslideisinthetransportposition.The
switchislocatedundertheoorplate(Figure123).
TheStandardControlModule(SCM)monitorsthepositionofthemow/transport
switch(openorclosed).Usinginputsfromthemow/transportswitchandother
switchesintheinterlocksystem,theSCMcontroltheenergizingofthereel
drivesolenoid.
Testing
1.Parkvehicleonalevelsurface,stopengine,applyparkingbrakeandremove
keyfromkeyswitch.
2.Makesurethemow/transportswitchisproperlyadjusted(seeMow/Transport
Switch(page6–7)).
3.Locatetheswitchanddisconnectelectricalconnectorfromtheswitch.
4.Checkthecontinuityoftheswitchbyconnectingamultimeter(ohmssetting)
acrosstheconnectorterminals.
5.Whentheswitchplungerisextended(mow/transportslideinMOWposition)
thereshouldbecontinuitybetweentheswitchterminals.
6.Whentheswitchplungerisdepressed(mow/transportslideinTRANSPORT
position)thereshouldbenocontinuitybetweentheswitchterminals.
7.Replaceswitchiftestingdeterminesthatitisfaulty.
8.Reconnectswitchaftertesting.
