WARNING
Beforedisconnectingorperforminganyworkonthehydraulic
system,allpressureinthesystemmustberelieved.SeeRelieving
HydraulicSystemPressure(page5–3).
3.Disconnectthehoseconnectiononthereelgearpumpleadingtothe
steeringcontrolvalve.
4.Installthetesterinserieswithreeldrivepumpandthedisconnectedhose
leadingtothesteeringcontrolvalve.
5.Makesurethattheowcontrolvalveonthetesterisfullyopen.
6.Sitintheoperator’sseatandstarttheengine.Movethethrottletofullspeed
(2650±50RPM).
7.Makesurethatthehydraulicuidisatnormaloperatingtemperatureby
operatingthemachineforapproximately10minutes.
8.Verifywithaphototachthatthepumpspeedisapproximately3100RPM.
9.VerifypumpowatNoLoadasfollows:
Recordtesterpressureandowreadingsatnoload.Unrestrictedpump
outputshouldbeapproximately14.7LPM(3.9GPM).
CAUTION
Donotclosetestervalvefullywhenperformingthistest.Inthistest,
thehydraulictesterispositionedbeforethemanifoldreliefvalve.
Pumpdamagecanoccuriftheuidowisfullyrestrictedbyfully
closingthetesterowcontrolvalve.
