3.Extracttheshaft,head,andpistonbycarefullytwistingandpullingonthe
shaft.
IMPORTANT
Donotclampvisejawsagainsttheshaftsurface.Protectshaft
surfacebeforemountinginavice.
4.Mountshaftsecurelyinavisebyclampingontheclevisoftheshaft.Remove
locknutandpistonfromtheshaft.Slideheadofftheshaft.
5.Removewearring,sealandO−ringfromthepiston.RemoveO−ring,
back−upring,rodseal,anddustsealfromthehead.
AssemblingtheLiftCylinder
1.Makesureallpartsarecleanbeforereassembly.
2.CoatnewO−rings,seal,wearring,rodseal,back−upring,anddustseal
withcleanhydraulicoil.
A.Installtheseal,wearringandO−ringtothepiston.
B.Installthedustseal,O−ring,back−upring,anddustsealtothehead.
IMPORTANT
Donotclampvisejawsagainsttheshaftsurface.Protectshaft
surfacebeforemountinginavice.
3.Mountshaftsecurelyinavisebyclampingontheclevisoftheshaft.
A.Coatshaftwithcleanhydraulicoil.
B.Slideheadontotheshaft.Installrodsealontoshaftandintohead.
C.Installpistonandnutontotheshaft.T orquenutfrom33to41N·m(24
to30ft−lb).
D.Removetheshaftfromthevise.
IMPORTANT
Preventdamagewhenclampingthehydrauliccylinderintoavise;
clampontheclevisonly.
4.Mountthebarrelinavice.
5.Coatallinternalpartswithalightcoatofcleanhydraulicoil.Slidepiston,
shaft,andheadassemblyintothebarrelbeingcarefulnottodamagethe
seals.
6.Secureheadinthebarrelwithinternalcollarusingaspannerwrench.
Tightenthecollaruntilsnugandtheouterendofthecollarisushwithend
ofthebarrel.
