supplywireandreadthemeterpriortoactivatingtheglowplugsystem.Adjust
themetertoreadzero(ifapplicable).Activatetheglowplugsystembyturning
thekeyswitchtoONandrecordthemultimeterresults.
TheReelmasterglowplugsystemshouldhaveareadingofapproximately27
Amps.
CheckOperationofInterlockSwitches
Theinterlockswitchesarefortheoperator’sprotection;donotdisconnectthem.
Checktheoperationoftheinterlockswitchesdailyforproperoperation.Replace
anymalfunctioningswitchesbeforeoperatingthemachine.
CAUTION
Themachineisequippedwithanumberofinterlockswitches.Theenginewill
notstart,oriftheengineisrunning,theenginewillstopifoneormoreofthe
interlockconditionsaremet.
Tostarttheengine:
1.ThePTOswitchmustbeintheDISENGAGEposition.
2.Thetractionpedalmustbeinneutral(withpedalandswitchproperly
adjusted).
3.Anoperatormustbeintheseatortheparkingbrakemustbeengaged.
Whentheengineisrunning,theengineshouldstopin1−3secondsif:
1.Theoperatorleavestheseatwithoutengagingtheparkingbrake.
2.Thetractionpedalisdepressedwiththeparkingbrakeengaged.
UsetheStandardControlModule(SCM)tocheckoperationoftheinterlocks:
1.RemovethecoveroverthecontrolpaneltogetaccesstotheStandard
ControlModule(SCM).
2.TurntheignitionswitchtotheonRUNposition.
3.SitintheoperatorsseatandtheInSeatLEDontheSCMshouldbeon.
RemoveyourweightfromtheseatandtheInSeatLEDontheSCMshould
beoff.
4.TheParkingBrakeLEDontheSCMshouldbeonwhentheparkingis
disengagedandgooffwhentheparkingbrakeisengaged.
5.ThePTOLEDontheSCMshouldbeoffwhenthePTOswitchisinthe
DISENGAGEDpositionandgoonwhenthePTOswitchisintheENGAGED
position.
6.TheNeutralLEDontheSCMshouldbeonwhenthetractionpedalininthe
neutralpositionandoffwhenthetractionpedalintheforwardorreverse
position.
7.Takecorrectiveactionimmediatelyifanyoftheinterlocksdonotperform
asdescribed.
