Changing the fuel pre-lter
The fuel pre-lter Item 2 (Fig. 78) can only be re-
placed in conjunction with the entire housing.
Place a receptacle under the fuel pre-lter.1.
Remove the hose clamps from the fuel pre-lter.2.
Disconnect the fuel hoses.3.
Replace the fuel pre-lter.4.
Connect the fuel hoses.5.
Attach the hose clamps for the fuel pre-lter.6.
Venting the fuel system.7.
Changing the main fuel lter
Place a receptacle under the main fuel lter Item 3 (Fig. 1.
78).
Unscrew the main fuel lter.2.
Clean the sealing surfaces of the lter base Item a (Fig. 3.
80).
Wet the seal of the new lter cartridge with diesel fuel 4.

Screw on the new lter cartridge.5.
