Starting the engine5.2.6
Check that no one is in the loader‘s danger
•
area.
Do not use ether as a starting aid.•
Do not use the loader if the »starter inhibitor«
•
does not function.
Only start the loader from the operator’s seat.•
Due to the high viscosity in the hydraulic sys-
•
tem at temperatures below 0°C (32°F), major
machine damage can occur when the speed is
increased immediately.
Let the engine run at a low speed at tempera-•
tures below 0°C (32°F) until the hydraulic uid
is warm enough to permit smooth responsive
operation.
The lower the outside temperature, the longer •
the warm-up phase.
Observe the hydrolter‘s pressure display.•
Do not under any circumstances tow-start the •
loader to start the engine. This could damage
the hydraulic system.
Turn off the engine immediately if the warning •
lights do not go out when the engine is run-
ning.
Have the malfunction rectied immediately. Do
•
not use the loader again until the malfunction
has been rectied.
Do not suddenly turn off the engine from full
•
load, but rather allow it to idle for 3 minutes
before turning it off it to equalize the tempera-
ture.
