The Function parameter on the Pump Configuration screen (Figure 4-7) identifies the
module connected to the RS-232 interface. This module can be either the:
745B Data Module
746 Data Module
Table 4-1 lists the default RS-232 communication parameter values defined by the
controller.
Selecting an Integrator on the RS-232 Connector
1. Move the cursor to the Function field on the Pump Configuration screen (see
Figure 4-7).
2. Type the number for the module you want to use:
0 for no device connected
1 for a Waters 745B Data Module
2 for a Waters 746 Data Module
3. Press Enter. The system automatically displays the default RS-232 communication
parameters in the fields at the bottom of the screen.
4. If you want to select or change the report type, continue with Section 4.1.3,
Selecting the Report Type.
