Forward collision warning function includes
frontal collision warning (FCW) and Automatic
Emergency Braking (AEB), which can reduce the
risk of a crash or slow down the speed during the
crash to improve the vehicle’s driving safety.

Forward collision warning is an assist function
only, which is not able to assist the driver
on all occasions. It can only minimize the
frontal crash impact by trying to lower the
vehicle speed within the system limit. The
system will delay starting to avoid unnecessary
intervention. The driver often can only notice
the function of the forward collision warning
when a crash is about to occur. Please do not
rely on the forward collision warning to replace
the response the driver should apply.

When the function detects that there is a risk of
a crash with the preceding vehicle, it will remind
the driver via the ICM and alert sound. If the
crash risk is greater, the function will remind the
driver via stab braking.
