Blind Spot
Safety Assist may not always work
under all circumstances, and several reasons
may lead to unnecessary, untimely, or ineffective
warnings, or even missed warnings. Some of the
reasons include:
• The radar is restricted. See 18 page
• The presence of large moving metal objects in
the blind-spot area.
The examples, warnings, and limitations
mentioned above do not cover all situations that
may affect the normal operation of the Blind Spot
Safety Assist system.

)XQFWLRQ,QWURGXFWLRQ
The Door Opening Warning (DOW) function can
provide alerts when there is a crash risk while
opening the door.
ZDUQLQJ
• However, please note that even when the
vehicle is stationary, DOW may not work
under all circumstances. It cannot replace
the visual observation of the driver and
passengers, as well as the use of interior and
exterior rearview mirrors. Do not overly rely
on that.
