LOGGING IN THROUGH NMS
Introduction You can also log in to a switch through an NMS (network management station),
and then configure and manage the switch through the agent module on the
switch.
■ The agent here refers to the software running on network devices (switches)
and as the server.
■ SNMP (simple network management protocol) is applied between the NMS
and the agent.
To log in to a switch through an NMS, you need to perform related configuration
on both the NMS and the switch.
