Probable cause Suggested actions
1 Insufficient lamp warm-up time.
Allow detector and UV-lamp turned on for at
least 2 hours.
2 Absorbing solvent or air bubble in flow cell.
Ensure the flow cell is filled with water, and free
from air bubbles.
3 Dirty or contaminated flow cell.
Flush flow cell.
Clean the flow cell as described in
“Cleaning of Max-Light Cartridge Cell” on
page 178.
4 Old UV-lamp.
Exchange the UV-lamp.
