3. Push the Command-key at the joystick twice.
4. As soon as the joystick is active and its command status
indicator is lit, move the lever of the neighboring control
head out of the neutral position.
5. Check if the command lamp at the control head lights up.
6. Check if the Command status indicator at the joystick has
switched off.
7. Repeat the procedure at all control stations with control
head and joystick.
Bow thruster
1. At the active joystick, push the thruster key.
2. See if the thruster status indicator lights up and remains lit.
3. Move the joystick fully forward and to the left.
4. Observe at the 3D Controller if the output for the bow
thruster is actuated.
5. Move the joystick fully forward and to the right.
6. Observe at the 3D Controller if the output for the bow
thruster is actuated.
Stern thruster (if applicable)
1. At the active joystick, push the thruster key.
2. See if the thruster status indicator lights up and remains lit.
3. Move the joystick fully backward and to the left.
4. Observe at the 3D Controller if the output for the stern
thruster is actuated.
5. Move the joystick fully backward and to the right.
6. Observe at the 3D Controller if the output for the stern
thruster is actuated.
Signal transmission from the heading sensor
1. If applicable, remove the cover of the 3D Controller by
loosening the 6 mounting screws.
2. Verify if,
– in the second line of the display a 3-digit-number is being
displayed (MC xxx).
– if that value corresponds to the position which is indicated
by another compass on board.
