Risk of severe material damage due to a delayed shut-down
in the event of a malfunction!
A delayed shut-down in the event of malfunction can cause per-
manent damage to the Börger machine.
In the event of a malfunction, shut down the Börger machine
and all upstream and downstream system components imme-
diately until the cause has been rectified.
Fault Possible causes Fault elimination
The Bioselect does not start, or
runs with difficulty after a down-
time
Solids from the substrate have
become encrusted and are blocking
the rotating parts
Run the Bioselect backwards
without feed for a short period of
time (changing the direction of
rotation)
Release the tension spring(s),
briefly switch on the Bioselect,
tighten the tension spring(s)
again, or, in case of pneumatic
adjustment, release the pressure,
briefly switch on the Bioselect,
pressurize again
Clean the compactor unit, lubri-
cate the adjustment mechanism
Clean the interior / auger shaft
Wedge wire screen or rotation lock is
deformed (e.g. by foreign bodies) and
blocks the brush auger
Replace the wedge wire screen
Gear motor incorrectly mounted or
connected
Install the solid shaft of the sepa-
rator into the hollow shaft of the
gear unit according to the oper-
ating manual from the drive man-
ufacturer
Ensure that the electrical connec-
tion is free of faults and that the
power supply is reliable
Drive output too low
Install the correct drive
Brush auger is frozen to the
wedge wire screen
Defrost the machine and protect it
against frost
