1. Drain the quench fluid from the intermediate chamber after
loosening the screw plug (5b) of the intermediate chamber
drain while adhering to the relevant safety precautions
relating to the substrate and the quench fluid. See

on page 123 and the lubricant list in respect of the quench
fluid.

2. Thoroughly clean the intermediate chamber after a leak in the
mechanical seal to remove all substrate deposits from the
intermediate chamber. To do so, flush a suitable liquid (water,
if appropriate) through the fill hole with the drain open after
the safety plug has been removed.
