7. If delivered separately, fit the O-rings (10) onto the new seal
faces (11). The mechanical seals are normally equipped with
O-rings on delivery.
8. Press a seal face (11) with O-ring (10) into the rotating seal
holding bush (9) using the push-in tool for mechanical seals
(Multitool).
9. Press the other seal face (11) with O-ring (10) into the sta-
tionary seal holding bush (12) using the push-in tool for
mechanical seals (Multitool).
Stationary seal holding bush:
Push in the seal face
Seal face: lightly coat with suitable
oil
Push the drive shaft into the hollow
shaft
10. Lightly coat the clean sealing surfaces of the seal faces
with suitable oil.
11. Check that the parallel keys (13) in the drive shaft (6) are
positioned correctly and securely, and ensure that they are
not damaged. Failing this, the parallel keys must be replaced.
12. Check the O-rings (3, 14, 15). Replace the O-rings if they
show signs of damage.
13. Push the drive shaft (6) into the hollow shaft.
14. Install the O-ring (15).
NOTE!
Install the O-ring (15) of the drive shaft (6) only after you
have pushed the drive shaft (6) into the hollow shaft.
