— Loosen the clamping screw of the clamping unit as described in

Chapter 6.3.2 “Removing/repairing the clamping unit”
on page 131, or depressurize the clamping unit in the version
with pneumatic adjustment.
— Disassemble the Multi Disc as described in
Ä
Chapter 6.3.4
“Changing the Multi Disc plate” on page 146.
1. Loosen the outer eight hexagon socket head cap screws with
washers (1) at the collar of the pipe casing and lift off the
counter bearing casing (3) with the O-ring (10). If required,
use the jacking threads [A].
2. Loosen the eight hexagon head screws with washers (4) at
the collar of the filter press channel or press channel (6) and
lift off the filter press channel or press channel (6) with the
foam rubber sealing washer (5) and the O-ring (10).
3. Check the O-rings (7, 10) and the foam rubber sealing
washer (5). Replace the O-rings and the foam rubber sealing
washer if they show signs of damage.
4. Install the new press channel or filter press channel (6) with
the foam rubber sealing washer (5) and the O-ring (10) and
tighten the eight hexagon head screws with washers (4) only
slightly at first.
5. Now, tighten the hexagon head screws with washers (4).
6. Install the counter bearing casing (3) and tighten the outer
eight hexagon socket head cap screws with washers (1) at
the collar of the pipe casing only slightly at first.
NOTE!
Dowel pins (8)
— Check that the dowel pins (8) are correctly positioned.
7. Now, tighten the hexagon socket head cap screws with
washers (4).

Install the Multi Disc as described in
Ä
Chapter 6.3.4
“Changing the Multi Disc plate” on page 146.

Attach the clamping unit as described in
Ä
Chapter 6.3.2
“Removing/repairing the clamping unit” on page 131.
