NOTE!
Displacement volume of the feed pump
If the flow rate of the feed pump is too high or too low, this
reduces the service life of the pump drive that, in these circum-
stances, must be operated with correspondingly high or low fre-
quencies to achieve the required separation and consistency
results.
If the flow rate of the feed pump is too low, this does not damage
the separator, however, it decreases the flow rate and the func-
tionality of the system.
Read and follow the safety instructions detailed in
Ä
Chapter
2.12 “Safety instructions for maintenance and rectifying mal-
functions” on page 37.
To the extent necessary, amply secure the surrounding area
when performing installation. Cordon off the working area with
a red and white safety chain and a warning sign.
1. Read and observe the operating manual of the pump manu-
facturer.
2. Only use an appropriate pump with a suitable connection.
3. Install the outlet of the feed pump according to the instruc-
tions in the manufacturer's operating manual on one of the
two inlet flanges of the feed unit of the separator and using
suitable seals.
4. Ensure that the unused inlet opening is tightly sealed with a
blind flange.
