NOTE!
Bioselect gravity feed
The gravity feed to the Bioselect takes place from a tank which is
constantly filled to the same level, such as a bioreactor (fer-
menter), a secondary fermenter or a storage container.
Required fill level inside the feed line to the Bioselect:
for anaerobic digestate and cattle liquid manure approx. 1.0 m
(3.3 ft), inlet pressure = 100 mbar (1.45 psi) (directly at the
device, consider losses in the piping!)
for swine liquid manure approx. 2.0 m (6.6 ft), inlet pressure =
200 mbar (2.90 psi) (directly at the device, consider losses in the
piping!)
The feed line should be installed at the storage container at least
1 m (3.3 ft) below the liquid level. Otherwise, biogas might enter
the Bioselect in the event of fill level fluctuations, or recently
inserted, insufficiently fermented biomass might enter the separa-
tion process from the floating layer too soon.
If not readily assembled upon delivery or installed at the feed line,
install a suitable shut-off device at the separator inlet to prevent a
continued feed of substrate when the unit is stationary.
